Registered Nurse Overview

• The Registered Nurse will oversee and manage clinical operations in an OB/GYN setting, ensuring patient care excellence and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with practitioners and staff to maintain high standards of professionalism and clinical excellence.
• Provide leadership and support to front and back office teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Utilize advanced systems like PrimeSuite for reporting, e-prescriptions, and patient management tasks.
• Ensure compliance with documentation standards and oversee OB patient chart reviews monthly.
• Manage schedules, delays, and patient flow to optimize operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with vendors and representatives to manage supplies, equipment, and lab testing effectively.
• Participate in clinical meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Registered Nurse Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Handle OB problem calls, document charts, and communicate mammogram results to patients.
• Lead daily "Quick Start" sessions to ensure team alignment and readiness.
• Facilitate patient flow during peak times, ensuring timely and efficient care delivery.
• Generate reports on OB patient metrics and update medication and lab lists.
• Assist with clinical tasks such as NST readings, OB triage, and surgical follow-ups.
• Coordinate OB patient inductions and manage high-risk patient referrals.
• Resolve lab billing and flow issues, ensuring seamless operations.
• Delegate and oversee Short-Term Disability and FMLA paperwork for OB patients.

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in an OB/GYN setting.
• Proficiency in using PrimeSuite or similar healthcare management systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and a commitment to clinical excellence.
• Availability for on-call coverage after hours as needed.
• Ability to manage supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships effectively.
