Registered Nurse Overview
- The Registered Nurse will oversee and manage clinical operations in an OB/GYN setting, ensuring patient care excellence and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with practitioners and staff to maintain high standards of professionalism and clinical excellence.
- Provide leadership and support to front and back office teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Utilize advanced systems like PrimeSuite for reporting, e-prescriptions, and patient management tasks.
- Ensure compliance with documentation standards and oversee OB patient chart reviews monthly.
- Manage schedules, delays, and patient flow to optimize operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with vendors and representatives to manage supplies, equipment, and lab testing effectively.
- Participate in clinical meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Registered Nurse Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Handle OB problem calls, document charts, and communicate mammogram results to patients.
- Lead daily "Quick Start" sessions to ensure team alignment and readiness.
- Facilitate patient flow during peak times, ensuring timely and efficient care delivery.
- Generate reports on OB patient metrics and update medication and lab lists.
- Assist with clinical tasks such as NST readings, OB triage, and surgical follow-ups.
- Coordinate OB patient inductions and manage high-risk patient referrals.
- Resolve lab billing and flow issues, ensuring seamless operations.
- Delegate and oversee Short-Term Disability and FMLA paperwork for OB patients.
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in an OB/GYN setting.
- Proficiency in using PrimeSuite or similar healthcare management systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a commitment to clinical excellence.
- Availability for on-call coverage after hours as needed.
- Ability to manage supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships effectively.
