Senior FP&A Analyst Overview
- The Senior FP&A Analyst will oversee complex financial planning and analysis activities, focusing on settlement calculations, revenue reporting, and contract review.
- This role involves managing revenue-centric models, ensuring accurate investor reporting and invoicing processes.
- Collaborate with external clients to perform market analyses and deliver comprehensive monthly reports.
- Contribute to financial optimization of solar, wind, and other renewable energy assets.
- Support the development and improvement of commercial tools using Excel and Power BI.
- Maintain knowledge of ISO rules and manage REC trading and tracking systems.
- Provide insights into energy market trends and their financial implications.

Senior FP&A Analyst Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform shadow settlements, validate final settlements, and execute invoicing, including ISO, hedge, and REC settlements.
- Collaborate with Accounting on invoicing, payments, and revenue reconciliations for monthly reporting.
- Act as a key contact for asset management clients, explaining revenue outcomes and market dynamics.
- Verify ISO bilateral trade scheduling and support Day-Ahead/Real-Time Scheduling execution.
- Draft and analyze transaction confirmations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with commercial terms.
- Develop and maintain revenue models for stakeholder reporting, ensuring efficiency and improvements.
- Analyze energy market trends to optimize financial performance of renewable energy assets.
- Read and interpret contracts to communicate obligations to management and contract administration.
Senior FP&A Analyst Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in a relevant field is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience, with 5 years preferred, in financial analysis or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel and Power BI for financial modeling and reporting.
- Experience with ISO rules, REC trading, and renewable energy market dynamics.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate and interpret financial data and market trends.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders effectively.
