Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Overview

• The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide essential nursing care and clinical support under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
• Assist primary care providers in delivering high-quality patient care services in a dynamic healthcare environment.
• Perform Point of Care (POC) procedures, including rapid testing, blood draws, and vaccinations.
• Collaborate with providers to manage patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations.
• Support LGBTQ+ patients with empathy, professionalism, and cultural competence.
• Work with Epic EMR or similar systems to maintain accurate patient records.
• Participate in infection control practices and emergency response protocols.
• Engage in a rotating schedule, including evening and weekend shifts.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Provide general nursing care and clinical support to patients and providers.
• Perform triage procedures and assist in patient assessments.
• Conduct POC procedures, including urine samples, nasal swabs, and HIV testing.
• Administer vaccinations and assist in wound care and minor medical procedures.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care and clinic efficiency.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems.
• Participate in weekly vaccination clinics and monthly rotating shifts.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; LPN certification mandatory.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; experience with LGBTQ+ patients preferred.
• Proficiency in Point of Care procedures and minor medical interventions.
• Familiarity with Epic EMR or similar systems for patient record management.
• Strong knowledge of infection control practices and emergency response protocols.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a healthcare team.
