Job Description

Corporate Paralegal Overview

  • The Corporate Paralegal will support the Legal Department in managing corporate governance, litigation, regulatory compliance, licensing, and internal documentation processes.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining organized systems for electronic legal files, workflows, and databases to ensure timely access and updates.
  • Implement licensing processes, including tracking applications, renewals, and regulatory submissions for store operating companies.
  • Assess legal documentation and correspondence for accuracy and completeness, supporting litigation and compliance efforts.
  • Resolve routine legal and administrative issues by coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Support administrative tasks such as file organization, meeting coordination, expense reporting, and managing confidential communications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external counsel, vendors, and government agencies to ensure seamless legal operations.
  • Report directly to the General Counsel and contribute to the establishment of a robust legal team.

  • Support the Legal Department with administrative tasks such as file organization, meeting coordination, expense reporting, and managing confidential communications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external counsel, vendors, and government agencies to ensure seamless legal operations.
  • Contribute to the establishment of a robust legal team by supporting strategic initiatives and departmental goals.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations for the General Counsel and other stakeholders.

Corporate Paralegal Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 1-4 years of experience as a paralegal within a law firm or corporate office environment.
  • Strong technical skills in Excel and document management systems such as Relativity or Concordance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing work environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in interacting professionally with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in licensing processes and regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey legal concepts and updates.
