Senior Accountant, Financial Planning & Analysis Overview
- The Senior Accountant, Financial Planning & Analysis supports budgeting, forecasting, and treasury operations for a luxury hospitality organization.
- Collaborates with corporate leadership and hotel properties to ensure financial accuracy and insightful reporting.
- Provides strategic financial insights to guide decision-making and resource allocation.
- Manages cash flow forecasting and compliance with banking and lending requirements.
- Coordinates long-term financial planning processes, consolidating results across departments and properties.
- Oversees lease portfolio tracking and reporting, ensuring compliance with updated standards.
- Prepares detailed financial reports and commentary for executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Supports treasury functions, including wire transfers, investment accounts, and daily cash reporting.

Senior Accountant, Financial Planning & Analysis Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and maintain annual budgets and monthly forecast calendars for efficient planning.
- Assist in consolidating financial results and preparing commentary for leadership teams.
- Prepare monthly cash forecasts and coordinate funding needs across departments.
- Manage lease portfolio tracking and generate monthly journal entries using LeaseQuery.
- Monitor debt covenants and prepare lender reporting as required.
- Support treasury operations, including wire transfers and investment account management.
- Create ad hoc financial reports to support decision-making processes.
- Conduct accounting research to ensure compliance with GAAP and hospitality standards.
- Collaborate across teams to maintain forecasting integrity and efficiency.
Senior Accountant, Financial Planning & Analysis Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field required.
- Minimum of three years of accounting experience; public accounting experience preferred.
- CPA certification preferred, with strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems; Oracle experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Oracle PBCS as a user or auditor advantageous.
- Experience in hospitality or related industries is preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
