Construction Administrator Overview

  • The Construction Administrator role involves overseeing construction projects, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and building codes.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants to resolve field conflicts and ensure project success.
  • Perform site visits to document construction progress and provide detailed reports for stakeholders.
  • Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change orders to maintain project alignment.
  • Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam for construction documentation and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility requirements and building codes throughout project phases.
  • Manage multiple projects, tracking RFIs, submittals, punch lists, and closeout items efficiently.
  • Leverage strong written communication skills to document and report construction activities effectively.
  • Contribute to the success of construction projects by maintaining high standards and attention to detail.

Construction Administrator Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinate between architects, consultants, contractors, owners, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Interpret drawings and specifications to resolve field conflicts and maintain project integrity.
  • Conduct site visits to observe construction progress and provide detailed documentation.

Construction Administrator Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Architecture (B.Arch.) or equivalent educational background.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction administration or related roles.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam for construction documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documents, building systems, and construction methods.
  • Experience with RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change orders.
  • Understanding of building codes, accessibility requirements, and AIA contracts.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and track construction-related items effectively.
  • Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
  • Preferred 15 years of experience for advanced expertise in construction administration.
