- This is a contract role with a 35-hour work week and flexible start times.

Billing Specialist Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Review and verify daily billing paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with the Finance/Billing Department and Program Records Unit under supervision.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of billing corrections with facility staff.
- Assist in processing billing voids and adjustments while meeting regulatory requirements.
- Identify and report billing workflow issues to senior management.
- Provide support in resolving billing issues and process barriers.
- Utilize Excel, SharePoint, and other tools for billing operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental objectives.
Billing Specialist Job Requirements
- Associate degree preferred but not required; relevant experience is acceptable.
- Minimum of 2 years of billing or accounts receivable experience; 4 years preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP), SharePoint, Word, Teams, and Zoom.
- Familiarity with Medicaid and funder regulations is advantageous.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to manage billing processes effectively.
- Ability to work on-site with flexible hours and a 35-hour work week.
- Experience in non-profit organizations is preferred but not mandatory.
