Operations Manager Overview

  • The Operations Manager oversees manufacturing facilities, ensuring safe, efficient, and successful operations aligned with global growth strategies.
  • Lead site operations with a focus on production performance, operational excellence, and achieving commercial outcomes.
  • Accountable for delivering output, quality, cost, and delivery targets while scaling capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards across all operations.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing leadership team across production and support functions.
  • Champion a safety-first culture and maintain world-class quality standards.
  • Drive workforce planning, skills development, and succession planning for key roles.
  • Collaborate with global functions to align systems, processes, and reporting standards.
  • Support capital investment decisions, ensuring readiness for new programs and product lines.

Operations Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead production functions to achieve output, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Optimize throughput across machining, fabrication, core build, and assembly operations.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment between production schedules, capacity planning, and customer demand.
  • Own site-level P&L performance, including cost control and margin improvement.
  • Partner with Sales, Program Management, and Engineering to support revenue growth.

Operations Manager Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience, with 10 years preferred in operations management.

  • Strong knowledge of safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
