• Monitor quality indicators and patient outcomes, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Recruit, mentor, develop, supervise, and evaluate departmental personnel.
• Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets for cost-effective resource utilization.
• Communicate effectively regarding patient care, operational issues, and departmental performance.

Women and Children Services Director of Nursing Job Requirements

• Current and unrestricted Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years of perinatal nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• Two years of nursing leadership, supervisory, or management experience.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association.
• National certification in Maternal Child Health, Women’s Services, or Nursing Leadership.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Thorough understanding of Maternal Child Health regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
