Fund Accountant Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Record journal entries and maintain general ledger for assigned partnerships to ensure accurate financial tracking.
• Reconcile bank accounts and prepare capital calls and distribution notices to partners.
• Understand and apply limited partnership agreements to financial reporting and income allocation processes.
• Maintain knowledge of current accounting principles and develop solutions for partnership-related issues.
• Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and management reports for assigned partnerships.
• Allocate income and expenses to partners’ capital accounts accurately and efficiently.
• Review transaction and valuation information to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with the Fund Controller to support financial operations and reporting.

Fund Accountant Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 1-2 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting principles and financial reporting standards essential.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required for accurate financial tracking.
• Ability to interpret and apply limited partnership agreements to financial operations.
• Experience with journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations preferred.
