Senior Accountant Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Prepare monthly financial statements for multiple operating entities and departments within the organization.
• Reconcile balance-sheet accounts and address variances in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with executives, hotel controllers, and accounting staff to monitor departmental expenses.
• Perform variance analysis comparing forecasted and budgeted results.
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of the annual budget.
• Prepare and monitor accounts receivable billings to third-party management properties.
• Support ad-hoc projects as directed by the Director of Accounting.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

Senior Accountant Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience; 4 years preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to work on-site in a collaborative office environment.
• Familiarity with hospitality industry financial practices is a plus.
• CPA certification or progress toward certification is preferred.
