Fund Accounting Supervisor Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead capital call and distribution processing, ensuring timely resolution of aged items on reconciliations.
• Prepare net asset value calculations, financial statements, fee calculations, and profit and loss allocations.
• Develop and maintain waterfalls and performance reporting, including IRRs and ad hoc client reporting.
• Assist in fund audits to ensure timely and successful completion, supervising a team of accountants.
• Resolve fund accounting inquiries, manage client relationships, and ensure consistent service delivery.
• Enhance workflows and procedures, playing a role in client onboarding and transitions.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to junior employees, fostering knowledge sharing and team morale.
• Adapt to client-focused structures, offering flexibility and willingness to meet business needs.

Fund Accounting Supervisor Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Business is required.
• 3-6 years of finance sector experience, with private equity or hedge fund experience being advantageous.
• Intention to pursue professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or ACA is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication, with the ability to influence and mentor teams.
• Experience with proprietary systems and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within team structures.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse client structures and business needs.
