Accounting Associate Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Maintain accurate accounting records for multiple properties and entities within the real estate division.
  • Record and reconcile property-related income and expenses, ensuring financial accuracy.
  • Process accounts payable invoices, coding expenses to appropriate accounts and entities.
  • Assist with daily accounting activities, including journal entries and adjustments.
  • Support month-end close processes and administrative duties as required.
  • Collaborate with the Controller on inventory accounting and operational tasks.
  • Ensure organized documentation for property and entity-level transactions.
  • Utilize accounting software such as AppFolio, NetSuite, and QuickBooks to manage financial data.

Accounting Associate Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
  • 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software such as AppFolio, NetSuite, and QuickBooks.
  • Experience or interest in real estate, property management, and e-commerce is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy in financial records.
