  • The Director of Machine Learning/Computer Vision will lead the development of cutting-edge autonomous systems leveraging advanced computer vision and machine learning technologies.

Director of Machine Learning/Computer Vision Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead and grow a team of engineers specializing in computer vision and machine learning technologies.
  • Define and execute technical roadmaps aligned with product and company goals.
  • Develop and optimize algorithms for real-time detection, tracking, and classification.
  • Coordinate integration milestones with electrical engineering and hardware teams.
  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure engineering quality and reliability.
  • Drive testing and validation across diverse environmental conditions and operational scenarios.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align technical direction and execution strategies.
  • Ensure delivery commitments for the CV/ML stack and oversee team performance.

Director of Machine Learning/Computer Vision Job Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in machine learning-based computer vision and signal processing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python and C++, with experience in TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience managing and scaling engineering teams, including hiring and career development.
  • Expertise in embedded systems and sensor integration, including cameras, LiDAR, and RADAR.
  • Proven track record of deploying CV systems in real-time or safety-critical applications.
  • Experience with multi-sensor fusion and hardware integration cycles.
  • Ph.D. in computer vision, machine learning, or related field is a strong advantage.
