Expense Processing Specialist Overview

Expense Processing Specialist Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process and monitor credit card transactions, including authorizations, captures, and settlements.
  • Research and resolve charge code discrepancies, ensuring accurate reconciliation to monthly statements.
  • Prepare specialized reports and analyses to support audits and compliance reviews.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and adheres to compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance operational efficiency and resolve transaction issues.
  • Utilize credit card portal functionality and processing software effectively.
  • Provide administrative support to travel desk operations as required.

Expense Processing Specialist Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree required; Associate's degree acceptable with relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in travel desk operations; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including vlookup and pivot tables.
  • Familiarity with credit card portal functionality and card processing software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to ensure transaction accuracy and compliance.
