Finance UCC Paralegal Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct lien and litigation searches across state and local jurisdictions.
- Assist attorneys and paralegals with due diligence reviews and document preparation.
- Prepare and file UCC-1 financing statements and UCC-3 amendments, continuations, and terminations.
- Order and review organizational and corporate certificates, resolving issues as needed.
- Review finance and closing documents for UCC provisions and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with service companies for UCC filings and terminations during transaction closings.
- Maintain and protect sensitive, confidential, and privileged information.
- Adopt and integrate new technologies to improve workflow efficiency.
- Ensure high-quality work and compliance with firm policies and standards.
Finance UCC Paralegal Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program required.
- Minimum of 4 years of law firm experience as a paralegal; 6 years preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in legal technologies and resources.
- Strong organizational and time management skills for handling complex workflows.
