Finance Project Leader Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead financial planning and governance for strategic capacity expansion projects, ensuring sound decision-making throughout the lifecycle.
• Evaluate financial impacts, risks, and opportunities, supporting data-driven project decisions.
• Manage project accounting activities, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
• Develop and monitor capital expenditure budgets and forecasts, aligning expenditures with approved plans.
• Establish effective internal financial controls and governance processes for project-related activities.
• Prepare and present financial reporting, performance updates, and key metrics to stakeholders.
• Partner with IT to optimize financial systems and reporting capabilities, enhancing operational efficiency.
• Coordinate the financial transition of completed projects to operational controllers.

Finance Project Leader Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with 5+ years in manufacturing environments.
• Proven expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and business partnering.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, capital project accounting, and financial planning processes.
• Experience with SAP and ERP systems, with a focus on process improvement and automation.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex financial information effectively.
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally as required.
