Overview

  • Drive strategic business development initiatives within a leading professional services firm, supporting high-profile practice areas and fostering client engagement.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create impactful marketing strategies and client-targeting campaigns.
  • Develop compelling marketing materials showcasing practice group expertise and achievements to enhance visibility.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for thought leadership, including conferences, speaking engagements, and publications.
  • Support attorneys in crafting and implementing strategic business development plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic initiatives and decision-making.
  • Manage submissions for industry directories and awards to elevate practice group recognition.
  • Monitor and analyze proposal and pitch performance to drive continuous improvement and success.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead business development efforts for designated practice areas, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Craft persuasive messaging and brand positioning tailored to practice area strengths and client needs.
  • Prepare comprehensive proposals, pitch materials, and responses to RFPs to secure new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to strategize and execute targeted client engagement initiatives.
  • Conduct detailed market and industry research to support business development strategies and innovation.
  • Oversee the submission process for directories and awards, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment.
  • Maintain and enhance databases and reporting systems to track and analyze business development activities.
  • Coordinate post-pitch follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction and refine future strategies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development within professional services; 6 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with marketing-related databases.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey strategic approaches effectively.
  • Experience in conducting market research and compiling competitive intelligence.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of professional services marketing and private capital industry trends.
