Job Description

Overview

  • Lead sales and service activities for technical products within an assigned region, focusing on new business development and customer relationship management.
  • Promote and direct sales efforts for automation and motion control products to manufacturers and industrial establishments.
  • Utilize CRM software to track, manage, and communicate customer activities effectively within the organization.
  • Travel extensively within the assigned territory to engage with customers and prospects, ensuring strong business relationships.
  • Prepare sales contracts, quotes, and credit terms while coordinating delivery schedules with the manufacturing team.
  • Analyze market trends and sales data to develop effective sales campaigns and strategies.
  • Monitor work activities, including expenditure records and progress reports, to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve regional targets and foster business growth.
  • Identify prospective customers using various sources and tools, including Zoom Info and similar platforms.
  • Conduct on-site and remote meetings with customers to present product features and benefits.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, contracts, and quotes tailored to customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing facilities to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to refine sales strategies and forecast market demands.
  • Maintain accurate records of business transactions, expenses, and progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while achieving sales objectives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; Master’s Degree or MBA preferred.
  • 5-10 years of sales experience with technical products, preferably in automation or motion control.
  • Proficiency in CRM software for managing customer interactions and sales activities.
  • Strong analytical skills to review market data and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory, approximately 50% of the time.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with customers and prospects effectively.
  • Physical capability to perform travel-related activities and occasionally handle items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Experience in cross-selling and competence in various sales activities is highly desirable.
