Job Description

Overview

  • Drive business development efforts for industrial design-build projects in Manufacturing, Advanced Technology, and Food & Beverage sectors across Texas.
  • Identify and secure new opportunities, positioning the client as a preferred design-build partner for complex industrial projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategies that align with market trends and business objectives.
  • Engage with key decision-makers, site selectors, and economic development groups to establish professional relationships.
  • Support feasibility studies, conceptual budgeting, and project delivery strategies in collaboration with the Preconstruction Team.
  • Represent the client at industry events, trade associations, and networking functions to enhance visibility.
  • Lead pursuit strategies from qualification to contract negotiation, ensuring alignment with annual revenue objectives.
  • Maintain a comprehensive target account list and implement strategic pursuit plans for emerging capital projects.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and execute Texas-specific business development strategies for industrial design-build projects.
  • Track market trends such as reshoring, EV/battery manufacturing, and semiconductor expansion.
  • Identify greenfield and expansion projects through direct Owner engagement and collaboration with industry stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Preconstruction Team to support feasibility studies and lead design-build proposals.
  • Establish and manage a qualified pipeline that aligns with annual revenue objectives.
  • Represent the client at industry events, webinars, and networking functions to enhance visibility.
  • Drive go/no-go decisions with Senior Management and lead contract negotiations.
  • Maintain visibility within Texas industrial and manufacturing networks to identify early-stage opportunities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on business, engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, with 10 years preferred.
  • Proven track record in identifying and securing industrial design-build opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of complex industrial projects and market trends.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Experience in leading pursuit strategies and contract negotiations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for representing the client at industry events.
  • Proficiency in strategic planning and pipeline management to achieve revenue objectives.
