Area Sales Director Overview

  • The Area Sales Director will lead sales initiatives in a dynamic environment, driving revenue growth and exceeding quotas within the assigned territory.
  • Mentor and coach sales representatives to achieve record-breaking sales performance and professional development.
  • Generate leads through proactive outreach, including cold calling, and effectively manage the sales cycle to close deals.
  • Represent the client at industry events, showcasing products and building relationships with healthcare professionals.
  • Utilize resources such as clinical specialists and reference sites to achieve both short-term and long-term sales objectives.
  • Collaborate across teams to share best practices and ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Contribute to achieving a seven-figure quota through effective strategies and sales execution.
  • Provide detailed reports on sales pipeline and opportunities using CRM tools.
  • Engage with key healthcare providers to build lasting partnerships and expand market presence.

Area Sales Director Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum 4 years of sales experience, preferably in medical or capital sales.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a competitive environment.
  • Experience with medical devices, capital equipment, or laser sales is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
